One Chocolate Corporation, makers of the iconic Fraktals chocolates, filed an assignment in bankruptcy on January 27, 2025 naming Krieger & Company Inc. as Licensed Insolvency Trustee of the estate. One Chocolate Corporation operated from a leased premises located at 145 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON. One Chocolate Corporation’s primary product was a buttercrunch toffee sold from its flagship company store in Aurora as well as in retailers across the Country.

ASWR Developments Inc.

ASWR Developments Inc. filed an assignment in bankruptcy on July 2, 2024 naming Krieger & Company Inc. as Licensed Insolvency Trustee of the estate. ASWR Developments Inc. is a corporation incorporated with the sole purpose of entering into head leases for various locations of the All-Star Group of Companies (“All-Star”), a franchisor specializing in wings and ribs primarily located in the Greater Toronto Area.

Venturer Electronics Inc.

Venturer Electronics Inc. filed an assignment in bankruptcy on May 22, 2024 naming Krieger & Company Inc. as Licensed Insolvency Trustee of the estate. Venturer has sold electronics to major retailers in the USA and Canada including Target, Walmart, BestBuy, Canadian Tire, and others. In the past few years, Venturer has been selling only a full range of Windows notebooks and 2-in-1 notebooks. Previously Venturer sold other electronics products including audio-video equipment such as DVD players and soundbars.

Fusion Career Services Canada Inc.

Fusion Career Services Canada Inc. filed an assignment in bankruptcy on February 13, 2024 naming Krieger & Company Inc. as Licensed Insolvency Trustee of the estate. Fusion Career Services Canada Inc was a staffing specialist and HR consulting firm based in the GTA. The Company was working to help professional clients secure full-time placement and direct-hire opportunities.

Math Masters Incorporated

Math Masters Incorporated filed an assignment in bankruptcy on September 6, 2023 naming Krieger & Company Inc. as Licensed Insolvency Trustee of the estate. Math Masters Incorporated (o/a Don Valley Academy) was a corporation operating both as an Ontario Ministry of Education inspected private high school and as a private tutoring service. The Company offered day, night, and summer school courses.

Corsa Meccanica Inc.

Corsameccanica Inc., a corporation which operated a premium Italian motorcycle shop from a premises located in Concord, Ontario, filed an assignment in bankruptcy on September 6 2022 naming Krieger & Company Inc. as Licensed Insolvency Trustee. Corsameccanica was a dealer of Ducati, Piaggio (Aprilia/Moto Guzzi/Vespa) motorcycles and provided sales, service, and apparel. The corporation declared $476,655.85 in total liabilities at the time of their bankruptcy.

Empire Lighting Inc.

Empire Lighting Inc., was a corporation selling residential lighting fixtures and décor accessories in “The Furniture Mall”, a multi-tenant building located on Woodbine Ave in Markham, ON. Empire occupied about 4,200 sq-ft of store space plus two storage units of approximately 220sq-ft in the mall. With both owners at their retirement age and having accumulated significant losses, funded mostly by personal injections of funds or by high-interest financing, the Company filed an assignment in bankruptcy on November 10 2020, naming Krieger & Company Inc. as Licensed Insolvency Trustee of the estate.

Steve’s Tire Sales & Service Limited, was started in June of 1989 engaged in tire sales and related tire and wheel services. It was located at 1950 Highway # 7, Unit 11, Vaughan, ON from its commencement until it cease operation at its assignment in bankruptcy. The corporation filed an assignment in bankruptcy effective March 12, 2020 naming Krieger & Company Inc. as Licensed Insolvency Trustee of the estate.

The print distribution was between 18,000 and 21,000 units per issue and was sent both to homes and businesses. It was also available for pickup at a number of business point-of-sale locations throughout cottage country, including in particular, the Kawarthas. The entire publication was advertiser supported and free to the reader. Facing an increasing cash flow issues, the Company filed an assignment in bankruptcy on October 11th, 2018.
